The world has always revolved around communities. It’s how cultures have not only survived but also thrived. Innovation flourishes in an enabling environment and now more than ever, the AI world needs a supportive space to grow.
Whether you are new to AI or you are a business leader in the sector, you must understand, as Rudyard Kipling said: “…the strength of the wolf is the pack and the strength of the pack is the wolf…” In other words, the AI Network is only as strong as its individual members who are in turn only as strong as the entire network itself. We all need each other. So, the question is — “how do we build strong AI communities?”
Understanding the Basics
There is no universal definition for what can be called Artificial Intelligence partly because the technology is still evolving.
Generally, it is agreed that AI is the capacity of a computer system to perform tasks that are typically associated with intelligent beings e.g. the ability to reason and learn from previous experiences.
Understanding this is important because when the idea settles in that AI operates or could eventually operate even beyond the level of human intelligence, everyone involved in developing this technology will start to grasp the sacred importance of ensuring that the technology works for the benefit of humanity.
The AI Citizen
Regardless of differing nationalities and cultures, we all have one unifying truth — we are all humans. No matter the language we speak, we are more alike than we can ever imagine. We share the same experiences and feelings and quite often express them in the same way.
As the world becomes an even smaller sphere from the rise of modern-day technologies and computing power, the lines and differences that separate us are blurred daily, especially in the digital world.
We can leverage this change and create even more unifying experiences for ourselves. One of such ways is by becoming AI Citizens.
An AI Citizen, as defined by Stallion AI CEO Samer Obeidat in his book, “The Artificial Intelligence Citizen” is a person who understands their role and responsibility in the emerging AI-powered future and is committed to the ethical and…
